Eliza Champions League
The ECL is a competition where competition winners from the previous season take part in a group and knockout tournament
Teams will be drawn into 3 groups of 4. The 3 Non-D1 teams will be in a seperate pot to ensure they are drawn into seperate groups.
Teams will play each other once, with the top 2 from each group qualifying to the knockout rounds.
The 2 best ranked qualified teams from the group stage will earn a bye to the Semi-Finals, the remaining 4 teams will be drawn to play against each other in the Quarter Finals.
All Eliza Cup participants are expected to play each game to the best of their ability in order to win for their team. Any suspicious behaviour may result in punishment as per the discretion of the Eliza Cup board.
Examples of suspicious behaviour are as follows:
Eliza Cup participant that is deemed to have been inactive for a period of time suddenly becomes active in a game that could have implications on the title race
Eliza Cup participant is overstepping the mark when it comes to helping another persons team to the point where they are effectively controlling the team in order to influence a result
Deliberately benching players that would reasonably be expected to start on ones team
Inexplicably trading out high scoring players for low or non scoring players
Please note that these are not the only examples in which unsportsmanlike behaviour would be deemed to break the rules as it is not possible to include every possible action. The board will use common sense when it comes to assessing possible infringements.
Punishment for infringements may include but are not limited to:
Points deductions
Overturned results for any breached games
Demotion to a lower division
Bans from the Eliza Cup
While banter is a massive part of what makes the Eliza Cup fun, we will not tolerate any racist, homophobic or personal attacks directed at another person.
Anyone who feels that someone has overstepped the line is encouraged to report this so it can be further investigated. Punishment for abuse may include removal from any Eliza Cup chats or bans from the Eliza Cup for severe offences.
In the event of a website error or glitch, the accepted result will be the official outcome that is listed on KeepUp.
Example: Player A is listed as defeating Player B 100-99, however a website error means Player A’s score has been incorrectly calculated and actually equals to 98. KeepUp has officially given Player A the win as per the league table.
Due to the KeepUp outcome being a Player A victory, the league officially recognises that as the result.
Note: Players are welcome to alert KeepUp of website glitches to try and overturn a result, however once it is finalised by KeepUp then it is final.
In the event that a website error/glitch affects a trophy then an asterisk will apply.
The board reserves the right to make changes to the rulebook as deemed appropriate.
